bear in mind, brewster had a very long reach for his height. i just watched tua-cameron and the hooks that tua throws have barely any range on them what so ever. i still think it would make an interesting fight, and i'd rather see klitschko-tua than klitschko-chambers. lets see david tua beat a top 10 guy first though
No he doesn't need that fight. If you put ANYONE in there with the right opponent of course they will look 66 years younger. Brewster looked 1000 years younger against Golota then went life and death with Krasniqi and lost to Lyakovich after it. Tua hasn't proven nothing with his last fight and saying he's ready based on that with ridiculous "10 years younger, prime and fresh" comments makes you look clueless about the sport once again. By the way, if he doesn't fight his mandatories he will lose his belts and I'm sure, at least hope, you know that his main goal is to unify, right? Let's see Tua beat a decent opponent first then they can make it, now is too early when it could be far bigger later. It's not Wlad's problem Tua is inactive and doesn't seem serious at all.
He KO'd Shane who? So what? I'd agree 100% if he just iced Haye, Povetkin, Chambers, Arreola, Chagaev, Iggy, etc. By all means let's have Tua back in the mix of the real contenders but he still needs to prove he belongs there. ****, let him & Briggs or Toney go at it for a top 5 or 10 ranking........................that's the real problem with HW boxing, none of the borderline contenders are willing to fight to separate the contenders from the pretenders. Older fighters like Botha, McCall, Briggs, Rahman, Tua, Ruiz, etc. need a tournament or something to let the cream rise to the top. Something like the tourney that Povetkin won to claim his #1 contender spot.
With Wlad fighting once a year nowadays his schedule is booked for quite some time(when he's done with his current mandatories the next will probably be already in line because he is taking so long to get rid of them) but if Tua can get 1-2 convincing wins against credible opposition (so no more Shane Camerons) in, Vitali should look at him. Tua is still a name that would look good on your record and if he can get himself back into contention he is as good a challenger as any.
Right now Wladimir vs. Tua would look a lot like Wladimir vs. Brewster II. Vitali vs. Tua would look like Vitali vs. Peter, maybe worse for Tua.
Who are you kidding? If either Klitschko fought TUa you'd say they were ducking Haye.................and vise versa.
Weren't you also trolling about how Arreola would beat Vitali's ass, and also about how Peter would, than Gomez and the list goes on.... By the way what's that in your avatar.
Cosign! :thumbsup I just don't want either Klitschko to fight Tua unless Tua gets more credible wins, at least a top 10 guy or 2.
If Tua earns his shot, then by all means make the fight. But saying that he will hammer a Klitschko based upon last night's showing is, well, shortsighted to say the least.
maybe if the klitschkos actually fought actual heavyweight contenders instead of blown up cruiserweights like eddie chambers, i wouldn't be criticizing them. klitschkos are killing boxing by not taking on the best heavyweights out there.
This is coming from someone who use to laud David Haye and predicted that he would KO both the Klitschko's out? Yet You didn't have problem than, but you have problem now?
