This fight was all but made a couple years back. All Tua had to do was beat Barrett in their rematch and he got a shot at Vitaly. This fight should never be considered it is a huge mismatch. Especially with a belt on the line. If neither had a belt and it was two older guys from the same era sorting things out then no big deal.
It would be huge for Tua(and NZ boxing) if he could pull it off. The big question, as always with David, is weight. He obviously understands the correlation between his weight and his performance so I hope he shows up in shape(105-110kg) and gives the crowd a good performance, win or lose. Tua is still a pretty big draw in the Southern Hemisphere so there are several intriguing(and lucrative) matchups that could be made for him if he's comptetive. :fireLet's go Mafaufau! Work hard and go out on your shield!:fire
Even with a dragon punch Tua couldnt reach Vitali's chin.... and even if he does that chin is post nuclear granite
If Tua KOs Ustinov, who is so huge that his chin is granite, then Tua can also reach VK's chin. VK is just a man - and a punch from Tua can still end all bets.
Tua is shot. Even his left hook is fairly weak by his standards. He couldnt get past Monte Barret he wont beat even this version of Vitali - tua is just too small
If Tua can KO Ustinov, I pick him to also give VK a fright. We will gauge his form when he fights Ustinov
