Cedric Kushner is David Tua's promoter - has been for several years. A lot of people class him as a "B" level promoter at best. For years he has promised good fights for Tua and never delivered.

Now that Tua is suddenly "hot" again we find the same old pattern. Kushner said after the Cameron demolition fight that Tua must fight again before Christmas. That he must "keep busy". Then he said "January". Now he says he can't "find a venue" for one of the hottest fighters in the HW division. So it appears Tua may sit around getting old and fat again - or fight only Tomato cans waiting for a "never never" belt fight. Same old, same old. On and on and on it goes.

Why is Tua not sacking Cedric Kushner and getting his career moving? Time is of the essence!!

well i don't think u can expect miracles either.

just look at kali meehan, he has been poised to fight for the title for 3 years (he was ranked no.1 for ages and was constantly avoided, then dropped to no.3 as well mind u, talk about ****ed up the ass) and still has to fight for a mandatory spot by the look of it and then have to wait 'till haye fights ruiz followed by valuev rematch and if haye happens to lose one of those fights it could be another year or two before he gets his chance, at god knows what age.

also meehan has challenged the leading fighters across the board and still can't get a fight with any contenders. so i don't know how tua will be able to climb in the rankings either.

so for a fighter as dangerous as tua i think he has got buckleys chance of fighting for a title.

At the end of the day, Tua is responsible because he chooses to work with CK

But it really is sad the waste that has gone on.

tua really is getting screwed over by CK, i fear that his career is gonna fade into oblivion again. it really is a shame seeing that he beat a ranked opponent with ease and CK going all over the place about who tua is gonna fight next. first it was december, then it was january, now its a possible fight with haye. kushner really is an incompetent douche, and as much as i hate don king, tua would be much better with king. at least king would keep him active.

Whatever the reason, Tua had such a good punch that had he fought consistently good fighters he would have some great wins by now and a title. Talk about wasting a great left hook. I don't think anyone can take his left hook.

Took you years to figure this out?

Kushner's a ****ing joke and has destroyed Tua's career.

It's pathetic he even mentioned a december fight when it's obvious he wasn't gonna do ****.

From what I hear the Tuaman's the one calling the shots these days. So blame Ced all you want for not being able to get a fight / venue whatever sorted out but right now it's David Tua making the decisions - if he wants to fight he'll pressure Ced, or sort something out with Duco down here - they've worked on a couple of options for Tua to fight in Aussie from what I hear - OK they were nothing fights against no-bodies, but that's still better than not figting at all for Tua IMO.
At the end of the day Tua will have to fight his way into a mandatory spot if he wants a shot. I think either of the Klit bros would give him a fight, but he shouldn't be going down that road. He needs to go after Haye, or Ruiz, or whoever has that belt by the time he gets in position to challenge, and none of those guys will touch him with a 10 foot pole unless he's in a mandatory position.

kushner definitely hurt tuas career but not as much as tua hurt himself by slobbing out on spam and corned beef.

    better off king?

    r u blind?

did u not read the above post about meehan. he has been ****ed up the ass for years and now at his age he has probably lost his chance.

he would be in a worse position not better.

Tua refused to fight in December because his trainer, Bloodworth, was unavailable. CK can't find a venue. Can I hear an Amen?

Tua got loads of big fights in his career and tended to flop in the biggest ones.
His showing against Lennox Lewis was lame, very very disappointing effort, and not much better against Byrd, twice looked average against Rahman ................... you cant blame promoters for all his shortcomings.
