This is a very easy to me .. Tua was always nothing, and its easy nowadays to look back with rose coloured glasses to a time when we 'thought' was a better age in the 90s, but to be honest the heavyweight division has been awful since the mid 70s, the Larry Holmes era had a few guys, Tyson had a few guys and Holyfield had Bowe and guys like Mercer and Moorer but after 1996 the division has been dire and that encapsulates fighters like Tua .. Tua was always a very basic fighter, he had a left hook and a good image (comparisons to Tyson, Good haircut and an exotic upbringing) but he was never anything special .... His fight with Ibeabuchi was very entertaining and close but his stature, his style and his lack of real speed put paid to any real ambitions he had .. The media who made him a big name, did so on the fact that they thought he was the second coming of Tyson, so he got a lift off that .. But he was soon exposed, Lennox could have beaten him with one eye shut, all you need to do is find your range, pop out the jab and defend Tua's left hook, once you tame that Left hook he's got nothing ...... The real shame from the 90s is Ike Ibeabuchi, this guy had something and could have got better. Good size, good skills but ultimately, an uncontrollable, volatile personality that couldnt be controlled ..
Cubex - be careful at first Don't download loads of stuff Just new fights (as soon as they go up) and especially if they are 'free' leech You need to maintain a 1 ratio but with the amount of free leeches these days it's easy Just don't rush in, take your time, read the FAQ's
That's a pretty good rule to follow in general. Obviously the older files are less likely to have leechers because people aren't as interested. The mistake noobs make is they get so excited seeing all these fights and they **** the downloads. You have to kinda 'earn' those fights by keeping your ratio up, then you can afford to get those fights :good Best tips to keep your ratio good; 1. Free leeches 2. Leave your UTorrent open whenever possible, even when you are finished you can continue uploading. 3. If you can be bothered you can upload new files to the site.
I was a member with closed ports for ages, always got good speed Did the whole port opening routine, made sod all difference, says I'm 'connectable' now but speed is just the same
4. Jump on as soon as you can when a big fight takes place, probably about 8am UK time, ESPECIALLY if it's a free leech. Choose the free leech above any other file (there's usually a couple of versions). And when you've downloaded it leave your computer and utorrent on all day.
Yup :good The sooner you get on the files that everybody is going to want the more life you get out of it.
Wel I'm not really looking for new fights since I can get them from megaupload from different sources. I just wanna complete my Arturo Gatti collection and these mofos have some fights in HBO quality I never seen(ex what I'm dl now,the Gatti-Jakubovsky fight from the Lewis-Grant TVKO PPV). I lost most my collection in a computer fucing some time ago. Rule 1-will try. Rule 2-seems easy. Rule 3-**** it.
Seems a little harsh to say he was 'nothing' He might not have won a world title himself but he's beaten 4 world champions...
You use the new fights and free leeches to get your ratio up, then you can cherry pick what you really want... So ditch megaupload and get all your new fights from the sites They will be there first anyway and it's reliable as ****
Yep, look at free leeches as letting you buy the fights you really want. I download every free leech that comes up whether I want it or not.
TFFP you maybe right, i tend to overplay my hand but he's beaten Ruiz, Rahman, Moorer and guys like Oquendo but i think his 'Media Push' was so over inflated compared to what he had as a boxer .. Tua in the 90's rode on the back of the image of Tyson that was still dominating the era, everybody was looking for the 'Next Tyson', and Tua was the man that the hopes were thrust upon .. He was a standard fighter that could be controlled in my opinion, dangerous in the early rounds but when settled could be out-boxed .... He's only a name now because of the name and 'reputation he had in the 90s. This heavyweight division is so bad that popping Tua's name out there could generate excitement but in reality he's not going to make any waves in 2010 ..
I don't think his reputation should be held against him. It's hardly his fault, the media do their thing. The media have made many superstars out of people before they are ready or deserving. In 2010 we are still looking for exciting fighters in the division and Tua could certainly add some life to proceedings even if he doesn't beat the Klitschko's.
