    Both peak.
For Tucker this would be around the time of the Tyson fight, minus damaged hand.
    Unbeaten and having beaten Douglas.
Bowe i suppose would be around the time of first Holyfield fight.
Tucker had everything apart from the right people around him. Bowe at that time could have become truely great.
How would this fight go ?

Douglas boxed prime tucker ears off, untill he gassed, bowe had great stamina and would probably stop tucker in the late rounds. Tucker was tough though and could last to distance maybe

One of bowe's advantages in this match up except for skills is size and strength, bowe was around 15-20 lbs heavier than tucker and it would make the difference on the inside.

Tucker was to defensive, It hindered him in most all of his big fights. Bowe would win a wide decision, Tucker was slick so he'd win a few rounds but Bowe's aggression, heavier punches and being able to match Tucker's jab with his own would help him win going away. If Tucker got brave and tried to fight inside Bowe may stop him.

That's how I see it, too.

I'd add that Bowe hit way harder then Tucker despite their seemingly equal KO rate.

Tucker stopped very few rated HWs, the best of them was Buster Douglas who gassed late, and Tucker landed many power shots in 10th but still wasn't able to put him out.

Bowe on the other hand was the only man to stop Holyfield with a head shots, and he destroyed usually durable Jesse Ferguson, knocking him out cold in 2nd.

Tucker would have given bowe a tough time. A prime tucker definitely. He had the jab and height but in a twelve rounder bowe would prevail but not a easy nite

Im not so sure Bowe wins this,Tucker went the distance with Lewis in the 90's. tucker is an 80's fighter. A younger sharper tucker could give lazy bowe a ghard time. Douglas was a continous mover/jabber...Bowe was stationary heavy footed. Both have somewhat lack luster motivation one was protected ( tucker by his father/manager) and Bowe by newman though bowe fought better overall competition not including prime Tyson who tucker fought. i suspect Bowe wins but? One has to wonder about Tucker past his prime greatly in that Lewis fight , how good was he actually that he didnt show?

I really don't see tucker beating bowe. Who did tucker ever beat part from Douglas who was beating him up to the tenth rnd. I know bowe prime was short but can u see tucker beating bowe on the night he beat holy field.?

It certainly wouldn't be a easy fight for bowe. The tucker jab would trouble him and his mobility but bowe I feel would just have the edge in infighting and aggressiveness, but it goes to twelve and slight unanimous for bowe

It's Bowe easy. Probably a late stoppage.

Im a little surprised people see it so one way. It took prime Tyson to beat Tucker , who had a damaged hand .At no point did Mike look like stoping Tony. Bowe was very susceptible to a good jab. I think Tucker pushes this close on points .

I'll take Tucker, because that will stress Dino out.

But in reality Bowe would probably take a win on points.

Whilst its true that Tony Tucker was a durable fighter with decent size and skills he often fought either just hard enough to beat mediocre opponents or to survive against good ones. Buster Douglas was beating him somewhat convincing until he broke down late and was stopped. The Tyson and Lewis fights were practically one sided. I think in a combined 24 rounds against those two men he won perhaps 3-4 of them. Bowe was also a big guy.. Durable. Had power and a good infighting game. And he was also the aggressor more often than not. Bowe by decision.

Bowe that fought Holyfield would beat Tucker by late KO, no doubt. Bowe was relentless big man in his hey day. He didnt bother to get hit and just keep trading punches. It cost him badly off course, look at his condition now.

Tucker is similar to Bruno , a big man that lose to all big names of his era. A fighter that in his best day could give any great fighter a hard time but mostly not enough to get the victory.

Bowe is not a typical big man, he's the size of Lewis and Tucker but fight like 5'10-6'2 guy. You look at Bowe , Lewis, Holyfield and Tyson in their prime, they got that "X" factor which someone like Tucker and Bruno were lacking.
