I always see this on sale but never ventured to purchase volume one or two. I grew up on tuesday night fights in elementary and middle school and would love to re-live some of those memories. any thoughts on this? http://www.amazon.com/Fathers-Day-Tuesday-Fights-KNOCKOUTS/dp/B000EIOVG2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1205222747&sr=1-1
If you have the extra cash, go for it. There were some great fights on TNF in the 80s and 90s. And I don't know about other boxing fans, but I really miss the show, and wish it was still on the air. The 80s and 90s were great years for TV boxing, particularly the 80s. You had USA and ESPN fights twice a week, and then, on many weekends, the on-air networks did fights too. Now, everything's on pay TV! atsch
There are few things I liked about Tuesday night fights. 1 ) Some of the fights were classic. 2 ) They focused on up and coming fighters. 3 ) The venue's of the nation were on display. The Blue Horizon! 4 ) Some of the announcing was hilarious too. Punchy Sean O'Grady, and the un-intentionaly funny Albert. I’ll never forget there was this fat heavyweight named Young. He was knocked out of the ring. O’Grady thought Young might continue, then Albert Quipped, And Young is going to be out! 5 ) The Knockout Outs.
