Im sure we will get the usual 'this is the best season ever' talk. Then again, it cant be as bad as last seasons one. http://mmajunkie.com/news/18131/the...st-unveiled-with-28-middleweight-fighters.mma
no one with a very interesting background that they mentioned. A few wrestlers, a few bJJ, one MT and an amateur boxer w/ one pro fight.
I will watch this until the semi final where due to **** British programming we will still be on the last quarter final when the final takes place and all viewing is stopped so I have no ****ing idea wtf has happened.
To be fair, it spurned a lot of interest in MMA when the series first began. The Griffin/Bonner final did huge numbers. The series as it stands now is nothing more than a soap opera with a few decent fighters thrown in.
You say that every season! I enjoyed the previous season - but this year doesn't look too interesting.
I mean the first few seasons were good but when I saw that Junie kid on the show. Then you realize that this show really is no better than MTVs The Real World. I doubt anyone still watches that. Its garbage TV.
I think it's pretty good. They've refined the forumla to get rid of the challenge BS stuff, the fights to get into the house at the start of the season, showing full unedited fights and giving people at home around the world a chance to see and appreciate the sport on a slighlty more accessible level. I don't think its necessarily pitched at hardcore MMA guys only, but its a great marketing tool for the UFC to introduce contenders to the public and give their careers a running start. I don't watch them all religiously, but its entertaining enough.
I think they planted these buffoons for ratings and it may have backfired. I want this show to produce one thing. A true blue chip MMA prospect, which we have maybe three in all of MMA.
