The Ultimate Fighter has done only one show with nations competing to my knowledge, and gave us the great Michael Bisping. What would be some of the ideal matchups with country-focus for TUF. Canada vs Brazil How they stack up: Canada has always produced great all-around fighters while Brazil is known for of course, BJJ. Likely Weightclass: MW Probable coaches: GSP and Anderson Silva Preferred coaches: Harold Howard and Royce Gracie Eastern Europe vs Japan How they stack up: EE has some great boxers and Sambo practitioners while the Japanese are known for their Judo and of course, JJ savants. Much more "going under the nose of pretty big orgs" in this one, so less likely to happen. Likely Weightclass: WW Probable coaches: Vladimir Matyushenko and Yushin Okami Preferred coaches: Shinya Aoki and russian serial killer Roman Gerus That's right, the show would take place in a prison, bam!
I agree, I was more suggesting which nations could be included in TUF instead of the standard crop of Americans, There have been some good fighters produced no doubt, but to me the pool seems to be drained a bit.
