He's got lions in the camp. Seriously though, Yarde had no answers in the ring and Tunde had no help in the corner, he just tried to cheerleader his man through.
He doesn't have the fluidity or body mechanics. His main power comes from a few select punches and he throws punches like he is still hitting the pads. You can see it in the jittery movements he does in a real fight. He doesn't even have an overhand right; a punch that Benavidez was open to all night. Imagine that was a prime Beterbiev in there last night against Benavidez. Ouch. Furthermore, you don't get world class sparring in the UK so you're always a few steps behind in terms of training and preparation.
I agree, but Yarde doesn't even spar in the gym at all, does he? I don't think Tunde allows it. Even with someone like Shane McGuigan or Andy Lee he'd have done much better.
