It’s from about 1952 which makes him roughly 54 at the time … interesting that he and Dempsey, with all their fights showed no signs of damage from the ring .. granted Tunney was a defensive fighter and Dempsey had lots of short bouts but the sheer number of fights …. Go figure
Your right. But funny how much older 54 year old s looked back then. I remember watching a n interview with Jersey Joe Walcott,he was I think in his early forty s then but could have been mistaken for a guy in his late fifty s.
