They do fight them though...pretty shallow argument.

So you honestly think the Ali who fought Young is better than the Williams version.
If you do then i would like to see exactly how many people agree with you.

How about comparing the literally and figuratively shot Williams with the on top of his game Young? The Williams that Ali looked so good against was physically compromised in several ways as a result of being shot by a cop.

Who do you rate as the better version of Ali...'67 or '76

    Simple question?

Great way to stifle discussion - question the motive of people who disagree with the narrative.

Not shallow at all, but the worn out race card is. Time for that nonsense to stop.

If the definition of overrated is being given the most credit for the least actual accomplishment, then Heavyweight Gene Tunney is your poster boy.

Sorry to get in between you two girls, but here's my opinion.

Ali puts a bigger hurt, in less time, than Jack Johnson put on Jim Jeffries. Cuts him up badly,
makes Tunney pay for pre-fight racist comments, then KO's him in the 5th.

Not that simple, but I'd pick the 76 version. I would, however, pick '71 over any other.

Who is claiming a race card?
I simply asked who was the best prime 210lb black heavyweight that Tunney beat that justifies picking him over '67 Ali

Then why did you decide to use the '76 version as opposed to the '71 in your original post?
Surely the prime for prime scenario explained that much?

Phenomenal. You make a standard for ability based on beating a "black" heavyweight, but that is not resorting to the race card. And criticising Ali, according to you, implies a "motive" other than an honest opinion. I'll take the red pill and not the blue.

Because of the similarity of the styles of Young and Tunney, obviously.
