Given the practically one-sided response concerning the recent Kovalev v Louis thread I thought I would dip my toe in the water with this one. Tunney as a heavyweight versus Kovalev at whatever weight he chooses to make. Fifteen rounds ,are there any surprises?
This would have been as disasterous for Kovalev, in a different way of course as a meeting with Louis. Tunney would have administered a beating on the way to a late tko over my favorite fighter of today. I guess I've proven that, in my responses to the two threads, ...Kovalev vs Louis and now Tunney, that I'm not exactly a "fan-boy" for Serge.
Tunney was incredible. I know he doesn't get as much mainstream criticism as he deserves for the colour line but he was amazingly talented.
