The IBF are actually the only one who properly enforces mandatories. WBC can go several years without enforcing a mandatory defense, so can the WBA. Heck, the WBA just create more belts instead of any mandatories.

The IBF mandatory was set years ago. They are loosing money by taking the belt away from Usyk, if anything, the real money grab would have been if they kept Dubois as the interim champ. That would have meant they have two champions they can skim off of.

You are simply bothered by the fact that Joshua and Dubois are fighting for the IBF belt. Not that the IBF actually uphold their rules and went out of their way to let the undisputed fight take place.

But they don't always follow them. At the time, they allowed a rematch between Ruiz and Joshua instead of making Ruiz vs. Pulev.

They have recently become more strict and is that not a good thing? Usyk beat Joshua in late 2021, since then he has technically faced only 1 mandatory challenger and that was Dubois with his little "regular" WBA belt.
