Turn back the hands of time and choose one of the 3 examples to be different. I often wish these guys got the victory's for different reasons.. 1) Michael Brodie to get the victory over In Jin Chi (First fight) and the belt he promised his late mother? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILGWX8fLJW0[/ame] 2) Herol Bomber Graham to hang on and see out the final few rounds and beat Charles Brewer for the IBF title and mark a remarkable comeback from one of the greatest talents this country's ever produced. 4 year out of ring to then get a run of wins under belt then nearly so nearly become world champion. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INT4T7sa6Tk[/ame] 3) Michael Sprott to see out last round against Audley Harrison and win EBU title and stop the Haye-Audley 'fight'. I'd personally go for number 2, I felt so bad for Herol he boxed so well i remember him whooping Chris Johnson on route to this title shot. Brodie would be a close 2nd i felt so bad for him in the Jorrin fight. Reason i didn't pick the Jorrin fight as a example is because it would be a clear winner.
Great thread idea :good With out a doubt I would love to see sprott slip that left and hand and win the belt, what ever about Haye and Harrison, which was a disgrace by both men, Sprott deserved to win that fight he put on a great performance and gave it his all as he does every fight. Now for my own picks off the top of my head. 1 I would love to see Rogan step on the gas when he had Sexton out and end the fight before the doctor had the chance [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oazLT3j2szo[/ame] 2 I would change the result of this clear robbery and fire the disasterous Terry O Conner on the spot [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yratgyX_gA[/ame] 3 Finally I would allow Enzo to survive the final few rounds of this fight, as he was putting on a great performance, his comeback was finally getting on tracks and the punch came out of nowhere, an absolute shocker. Tough one Del Boy but even though i had the Fury fight closer then most i'd have to go for John winning that. Bless him he tries don't he poor sod. Rogan i lost respect for before that fight and after, I was glad Sexton one and Enzo well i like him but leaving chin in air like that is his own fault. So Big John for me..
All true points can argue with you on them, id have picked Big John i think because hes just been hard done by so many times over the years
Good thread :good Opening post; Sprott hangs on & wins, Haye fights someone decent. Del Boy; I'm in the minority but Tyson won that fight 96-94. I'll go with Rogan, after beating Sexton he goes to the US & makes a ton of cash, retires & doesnt fight Tyson. 1. Tyson vs Douglas, Mike lands that uppercut 30 seconds earlier, finishes Buster & then fights Holyfield in 1990/91 2. Bowe vs Holyfield 2. The fight is called a draw & Bowe has a mega, re-unification fight with WBC champ Lennox Lewis. 3. EnzoMac vs McPhilbin. The timekeeper does his job properly & Shane stops Enzo in the 1st round. EnzoMac retires from the sport to concentrate on his gym & providing excellent commentary for Boxnation.
Yep gotta say i felt Tyson won, i didn't go for Watt's commentary. I felt it was close and could of went either way..
Morales V's Maidana. Morales gets the win most felt he deserved and has his last fight against Marquez. Vazquez V's Rafael Marquez 4. It never takes place. Naz V's Calvo. Naz blasts him out in 5 rounds, takes on Brodie not long after then launches a new assault over the pond against Barrera, Morales, Marquez and Pacquiao. If Naz regained his heart for the sport we could of had some amazing fights.
Hmmm i'd go with number 3 but in grand scheme of things 2 is what i'd like to of seen. Number 2 for me.
