Basically, during the Fitz/Jeffries/Corbett era... What lesser known boxers were there, who none the less were pretty active and important in the scheme of things?

I ask because I look over Fitz and other turn of the century guys and there seems to be a lot of no name guys. Not even really filler... Guys with no fights under their belts or anything. Almost seems like the only real "name" fights were the super-fights between Fitz and Corbett, Jeffries and Johnson... That kind of things.

    So who were they?

Peter Maher, Peter Jackson, Frank Slavin...all three have rather informative profiles on Cyber Boxing Zone.
