According to Dan Raphael anyhow.....
http://espn.go.com/sports/boxing/blog/_/name/rafael_dan/id/5380576/klitschko-blasts-hbo-lie

When Ross Greenburg, the president of HBO Sports, said in a recent interview with me that he would not buy heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko's September fight against Alexander Povetkin, it came as quite a surprise to the Klitschko camp.
The reason: Klitschko and his team, namely manager Bernd Boente and adviser Shelly Finkel, say HBO promised it would air the fight on Sept. 11 and that they had agreed on a price ($250,000 to show the bout on same-day tape delay).

HBO is in decline. All they have right now is Entourage. Only 250k to show Wlad vs. Povetkin, and HBO declined?

Well, there was an article a while back that basically said that Greenburg got hauled in and raked over the coals for the inept way he handled the boxing segment programming. Maybe they should have let him go and let this Kery Davis take over.

HBO sucks. I don't want tape delay anyway..., I'll watch it live on PPV.

Thank goodness HBO came to their senses and decided to kick the robots to Showtime.

How is Showtime gaining momentum by getting a fight the American boxing fan doesn't want to see?

HBO has all the top fighters on their stable from Pac,Floyd,Marquez,Hopkins,Mosley,Cotto,Dawson,Martinez,Pavlik and the list goes on.

Klits are keeping themselves off the radar. HBO IS NOT IN DECLINE but maybe the're tired of throwning $ away for covering boring fights, Klitschko's included...

Funny cause almost every HBO fight in recent memory were crap boring fights, Yet they still throw away cash at goldenboy promotions. That was the worst thing that has ever happened to HBO boxing was their contract they signed with GBP.
