In the 80's we used to call HBO - Horrible Body Odor. Maybe it's about time to bring back clever zingers like that.

"Yo brah, I'm watching Entourage tonight."

"Oh yeah? That's about as straight as two men ****ing, not to mention it's on Horrible Body Odor. **** off."

    From the article:

"Whether Wladimir or Vitali fight Haye eventually, we will make sure the fight is not on HBO," he said. "HBO will not cover anymore Klitschko fights. On the Haye fight, Wladimir said to me that HBO thinks that they will have it 100 percent because they always overpay if they want something. But for him it is not about the money, it's about fair play."

When I asked Boente directly if that meant they would take less money from Showtime for a Haye fight, he said, "Yes, absolutely."

This is awesome good for Klitschko **** HBO. Basically they have said the only Heavyweight fights they are interested in are Wlad/Vitali vs Haye/Adamek but they will put on garbage like Victor Ortiz and other hype jobs.

HBO just ****ed up. Screw them.

Good for HBO. The HW division remains one of the weakest divisions in the sport and money is best served being spent elsewhere. 250k goes a long way toward putting a quality BAD card together.

the klits are making me a fan by giving a big middle finger to HBO

now give it to showtime and take our sport back to the mainstream where people can all watch it

HBO has been horrible this year (and last year wasn't all that good either). Right now they aren't close in the running for Network of the Year. ESPN2 and Showtime have been beating the **** out of HBO for all of 2010.

HBO pays big time for Dawson-Tarver II a fight, fight fans don't want to see. Yet, they don't want to show one of the best Heavyweight fights that can be made right now? :patsch

Greenberg just wants to give Showtime a chance to catch up so it is a fair fight.

I have no doubt that, if Klit stands by that promise, Haye will use it as an excuse to duck him. "I'm begging Klitschko for the fight but I only want to fight on HBO. He won't do it."

This is a really stupid, and insulting, decision from HBO. It's just bad business all the way around- both the decision itself but moreso the way they went about doing it.

As a subnote the last 12-18 months I think HBO has made some poor choices with fights. BUT at least they are one of the few networks paying for boxing and stepping up. Can't hate on them for that.

Finally HBO made the step in good direction. They bought more than enough boring fights already, and personally I won't miss another unexciting defence by Wlad or Vitali.

I agree they are the best HW nowadays, I know their opponents are often the ones to blame (for being grossly out of shape or just trying to survive the fights)... but the bottom line is that I would be bored to death to watch another typical Klitschko fight.

I can already give full summary of Povetkin fight: Wlad jabbing in round 1... the same in round 2 and 3... Povetkin unable to get inside most of the time, and when he does it, Wlad holds for his life... and it goes like that for a couple of more rounds, before Povetkin is too hurt too continue. Is his corner quick enought to stop the fight before Wlad gets enough courage to throw anything more than a jab? Or maybe the fight goes full distance, with the champion taking the safest route to get another "W"?
