Just wondering if anyone knew how much tv companies have to pay for the rights to big fights. Sky are pissing me off they must make millions and millions but they still show **** all decent boxing and when they do it costs £15.

    hope this answers your question

sky just buy fights on a fight by fight basis - so they only buy the ones they think they will make money on e.g hatton, khan etc...
they do show friday fight night which is pretty decent

setanta have a 2 year deal with Top rank that guarentees them a show a month for 2 year and they have a deal with universum (a german promoter) to show 2 fights a month for 2 year, they also have a deal with hayemaker promotions to show afew domestic fights

itv have deals with hobson and hennesy so have decent domestic fighters such as clinton woods, froch, thaxton, murry etc.....

also channel 5 normally shows espn friday fight night on monday morning at 4am
