He definitely needs to get with a manager who has his best interests at heart and I think Gilmour was putting £££'s ahead of Pauls career

PAUL took the fight cause he thought he would handle Lindsay easily, he wasnt forced in to it remember

he was down to fight Oleg Yefimovych in the Ukraine last November for the European title, but for some reason the fight never happened.

    Anyone know why?

Maybe he was waiting for his contract to expire, so he could go with someone else, cause if he fought and won it would be written in his contract that the would be signed for longer, thats my take on it at least.

Yeah he did beat John, but Simpson is a different animal now, would favour Simpson if they fought again. He could be Euro best as well if he gets the chance to show it

Gilmour will always have this problem ..He rushes his fighers looking for the quick buck and then it comes back to bite him. Happend to a few of his fighers in the last few years

Simpson seems to have refocused himself, he's had some solid wins recently and will fight anywhere.

It would be a great domestic scrap to see. Get it on in Glasgow, would certainly go and see it.

Appleby beat john on a very close decision when John had an off night probarly the worst performance of his career in a title fight which was also decided by a very dubious knockdown/slip. Also john wasnt with billy nelson at the time since john has been training with billy he has improved vastly. I think the appbeby fight was the wake up call he needed as he was maybe becoming a bit stale and needed a change if they were to fight again appleby would meet the same fate truscott (twice) and steve bell has and thats a mid to late stoppage IMO.
