The naiveity in this thread has too be seen to be believed. A man all of a sudden decided to cheat when he's massive odds on favorite to win the fight. Get a grip. By the way it was Richardson who questioned the wrapping not the comission

 

Your being rather naive in suggesting that the grandeur of the fight is the only reason for someone to have their wraps done illegally. Margarito had a very poor training camp prior to the Mosley fight, it's documented.

We all know Richardson questioned the wrapping and not the commission, but to then assume Margarito had illegal wraps for all his other fights just because Naazim Richardson didn't check them is very speculative. If you do that you also call in to question every other fight that has happened under any jurisdiction Margarito happened to fight in.

If you read my post you'll see some fair points, questions to be raised that we can't answer. Remain suspicious, sure, but don't assume you are right and I am wrong. It isn't that black and white.

I'm not condoning it, I'm suggesting it as an alternative reason. The Margarito team had only been caught once with illegall handwraps, its at least an intriguing coincidence that this one time happened to be on the back of serious weightmaking difficulties.

 

I fume everytime I look at Margarito! I love Cotto and Margarito is a ****ing cheating scumbag who could have killed somebody with what he was doing! He should never have been allowed to fight again and all his wins should be given as defeats! It's disgusting what he done! The thought of it knocks me completely sick! :-(

 

Well it wasn't the first time they had done te illegal hand wrapping ****!! He hasn't looked the same fighter since he was caught out! He's been doing it for years IMO! You don't just say, were fighting Shane Mosley so why dont we load load are hands! Look at Cotto's face that night! I mean his Dad says " I've seen my son beaten before but this night, he bled from his nose his eyes his ears!" he goes on to say Margarito knows what he done!

 

Cotto holds a grudge about the wraps. Rightly or wrongly, he believes he lost and his face was battered and his life threatened by Margo. Margo is a proud man who is a warrior despite have a very questionable history. Small news was made of him breaking the rules pre Pac fight. I think he was have a banned stimulant, a drink or something that is banned because it can give more energy.

 

That redness may not have been blood. It can easily be the colouring of his red gloves that can sometimes smear onto wraps when being taken off.

I was (maybe still am, I don't know) one of those who firmly believed Marg's hands were loaded. But as time has wore on and we have more things to reflect on, I'm not quite as sure. His training camp for Mosley was a disaster, apparantly. He had to lose a **** load of weight and consequently left everything in the gym. Maybe, as time was drawing, his trainer knew this and felt something desperate was needed to ensure victory for his guy. That's when the wraps entered?

The block when found prior to Mosley had red 'blood' stain on it. Not saying this has blood on it in this pic but many believe that it's a sign of him using them in the Cotto fight.

anyone that thinks the only fight Margorito cheated in is the Mosley fight where he got caught are complete and utter fools.
