I'm sure Ortiz could amazingly have found himself in the IBF top 15 with a "conversation" if they wanted to do that fight.

It was a crap fight when Wilder fought him and it's a crap fight now even with Molina KOing a shot Adamek recently.

I gave Joshua a pass when he fought Breazeale as it was a first defence of his title and while I understand he was trying to get a better opponent which fell through for one reason or another I can't help but be disappointed. He needs to step up in his next fight, it's bad enough having one titlist in Wilder defending against over matched opposition, we don't need Joshua becoming the UK version of Wilder.

Joshua will walk right though Molina. Molina was being out boxed by a shot Adamek and been KO'ed in 1 round on 2 occasions. It will be a miracle if he makes it beyond 3 rounds.

Arreola stopped him in 1 round, if it goes past the 1st it's Arreola>Joshua! Deal with it hater!

I'd rather see Price. It would at least be more entertaining.

No. Let's be fair, Molina earned his shot at being the spoiler here, even though I think he gets knocked clean out!

You don't earn the chance by knocking out arcaic Adamek by a lucky punch. I am not saying that Price earned his chance, but there would be at least some kind of hype behind this fight - a rumour about sparring knockout Price, the fact that they both are British and very big guys.

Besides, my point was "I'd rather see", not "Price earned the shot better than Molina". I'm not going to watch Molina fight online (not unless I have nothing to do at all), whereas I would certainly watch Price fight.

I'm not critisizing Hern or Joshua for this kind of pick, though. I know Pulev refused the fight and there are almost no other options.

Well the IBF has him ranked number 8, so I can't complain.

Slowly building a resume. It has been said perfectly before: that Anthony Joshua is a prospect but one who happens to have a belt. I guess now he is a contender.

I do agree totally with that premise.

The problem is he's claiming to be a world champion. As such he has an obligation to fight the best and bring his claims close to reality.

All true, and very much so. But he is not claiming to be THE champion, he knows his place.
They tried to get Joshua a big fight but failed to do so. Wladimir pulled out and Parker went after a vacant belt. Molina is what you get on a short notice.
