Good news mate. Hope to see Zappa come up trumps against a quality fighter on the night. He'll cement his name with fans there in no time.

 

Good news allround - great opportunity for Zappa to put his wares on show.

Zappa v Angulo is a good fight. Angulo is a serial offender at not making weight though (didn't make weight against Ganoy and didn't for his next fight either...doesn't even come close to making it), so lets see if he makes 135. Zappa's camp have been made aware of this.

Title became vacant through the death of the Sth African who held the belt. Angulo can be a tricky customer and is very seasoned. He only spent a few days in Sth Africa before icing Ranee and has gone the distance with Juan Diaz. Don king fighter.

If Zappa has to go 12 rounds it might be a problem, especially it being his second fight in the US. Might be a little too much for him right now.

Expect angulo to play counter puncher, as that's what he did against Ganoy. Lenny is a come forward fighter, so I'm expecting similar tactics.

Good on Zappa for taking it...he's up to it if everything goes right for him.

 

Alot will depend on how much notice Angulo got for this fight. I'm thinking not much. If it was short notice, big chance he doesn't make weight. That should mean only Zappa can win the belt if they agree to go ahead with it.

Lets hope Zappa is in a good frame of mind and doesn't get overawed by the occassion. He's only young, but he looks a confident kid. He should be right.

If he can get a ko win on this card....augers very well for his future.
