Wilder is saying he will give a fight to Whyte if Whyte beats Ortiz. OR, if hearn puts AJ on the end of the contract. Sorry, but that is completely fair. How the hell can Hearn get out of that? He won't let AJ Wilder fight happen unless Wilder fights his fighter, who AJ already beat. So wilders agreeing to do that if Whtye can prove himself against a true top 5 hw, who Wilder already beat. And fans win because more good hw fights happen. How the hell can people say this is unreasonable from Wilder?
That's fair , fair is far. If Wilder has to fight Whyte to get the Joshua fight , then it should be guaranteed in the contract.
Because boxing fans have become political parties. It's more about England getting something over the dirty yanks than anything else by my estimation. They'll let Eddie do whatever he likes as long as they can continue to tell the US the UK is the A side.
I'd really like to see Wilder-Whyte, but you could make it after the fight no bother anyway. Stop fannying about and just make it for September. Soon those ****ing mandatory snake ****s are going to start in on behalf of the guys who have paid them to be #1 contender so the window on this fight is actually closing kind of fast.
No way Hearn lets Ortiz anywhere near Joshua's personal lapdog when his schemes are this close to fruition, but there's no incentive for Whyte to take that fight anyway. He's #1 in the rankings so unless WBC order Ortiz as a final eliminator all Whyte has to do is wait. There's also no reason for Hearn not to put Joshua on the end of the contract though, Wilder fights Whyte, Joshua fights Povetkin, winners meet in late 2018/early 2019 with all four belts ending proudly around the waist of one man. Any other road map and mandatories really start becoming a nuisance to the point that the eventual winner is immediately stripped, in which case what's the ****ing point of becoming undisputed?
The UK is now the mecca of boxing If Wilder wants to fight the champ he should do it on our terms Fight Dillan whyte first
Whyte will get a smaller split though right? Eddie hates it when boxers don’t dance to his tune. Wilder, Fury, Khan (before he signed with Matchroom), Eubank...
He's not mandatory yet. Could be 2020 by the time WBC enforces that obligation even if they wind up making him mandatory. Wilder says he'll fight him next if A they attach an AJ contract or B he fights Ortiz. Fair deal, both sides can reduce it to contract and get on with some good fights!
This is just the daily fake news on here that Joshua detractors continue to post....at NO point did Hearn say you HAVE to fight Whyte or no AJ...lol The fact is Hearn wanted Wilder there just to build the Joshua fight whether its 2018 or 2019. What was Wilders approach to the mega media event in which he would have got his own press conference? " No I'm staying home and watching it there" ..and probably behind his couch when he sees Joshua walking out ...lol
