Great pic and ok read but thought I would share. Not sure if guys on a boxing forum will agree "it's here to stay" or just a fad. Time will tell.

it's here to stay because it's not a fad. (like most boxing promoters would like people to believe)...MMA is also a sport. Just like Tennis , judo , baseball , football etc...

MMA is a sport. the Original UFC( AKA: Hey check out how much everything sucks compared to Gracie Jiu Jitsu) was a sideshow human cockfight. the UFC now is pretty legit.

Yeah MMA is a sport. And the UFC is doing all the right things to make sure it stays around.

I'll probably never be a fan though.

I don't know if MMA is here to stay but I know absolutely that there is no guarantee that it is not a passing fad.

Its future depends on whether audiences want to see it. And people including myself, want to see violent, competitive entertaining fights with plenty of skill.

On a good day MMA is the most exciting sport in the universe. but often I find MMA dissatisfying and fustrating

I'm not attacking MMA, I just want to campaign for rule changes to make the sport more enjoyable to watch and to safeguard its future.

    looool

Okay, and what, in your infinite wisdom, would you suggest as changes that haven't been suggested already and have been considered and rejected or is still under consideration?

Nice evasion. Answer a question without answering the question. Are you, by chance, a future politician?

MMA is definitely here to stay and anybody who states otherwise is either uninformed or extremely bias. I'ma huge boxing fan but I would be a moron if i felt MMA fighters were failed boxers. They come a variety of backgrounds wrestling, BJJ, Judo, Muay Thai, etc. MMA appeals to muscle head idiots cause of the violence aspect, but to educated fans for its skill in a variety of different disciplines and the multiple ways for a fighter to win the fight. Bottom line its here to stay!!!

what a terrible article. MMA fans are better than every other type of person? wha?

he even says the majority of them really appreciate the sweet science of the fight? obviously the vast majority of people like it because they want to see someone get KTFO

    Really

If I remember, I will try to bump this in 6 months but I'm guessing you can't be serious and this is just more of a Sherdog type of reply.

I won't say "terrible", the picture along makes it better than "terrible". I liked some of what he said and didn't like some, like the part you pointed out. Kinda gay IMO but I still like the picture. But even the pic takes away from part of the blog IMO but hey, sex sells I guess.
