Wlad hasn't lost in 11 years, yet many still bring up those losses any chance they get to demean his accomplishments.
Oscar Delahoya has like 6 loses, but I really respect his heart and the fights he took.
With his cash cow status, he most likely could've "picked" his way to 50-0

Thats why I rate Wlad actually, he came back. Like an ATG would. Lesser men would have gotten too shaken, become shopworn and faded. While there is certainly a physical aspect to that, I think 80% is ultimately mental.

Its also why Oscars image recovered. He may have acted the fool, but he fought everyone. So who cares about pantyhose, he fought everyone.

That poster should hate himself for being wrong about Mares. Not Mares himself.

Yeah, and there's no reason to get upset that he got KO'd by Jhonny who's pretty damn good. Like I said it happens, maybe Mares isn't the best in the division, but that doesn't mean he should retire because he isn't.

Wlad is well on his way to being one of the greatest Heavyweights of all time, its a pity they aren't aware of this due to their irrational hatred, they're only possibly missing history being made.:-(

Jhonny is a beast. That guy's an idiot both for how he admits he used to think and for how he thinks now.

After the Purrity/Sanders/Brewster disasters, it was quite a shock to see Wlad pick his azz up off the floor against the Prime KO artist Peter and win. That was an inspiring moment. What champions are made of.

beast my ass. you ****. Gonzalez sucks and he proved it by facing and being destroyed by the first half decent opponent he faced after Mares, T-Rex Rusell

Gonzalez only looks good against complete nobodies or shot to **** fighters like Arce.

Mares getting beat by Johnny speaks volumes, and what he went to do afterwards is even more damning.

Compare this with Canelo's first loss, he lost to an ATG (not a washed up hasbeen), then looked impressive in his comeback fight and then went and beat the 2nd toughest fighter of his division, no wonder he's still considered a star. That's how you get the fans back

Mares on the other hand, has looked underwhelming against bums ever since Johnny took his soul. Santa Cruz (who's an overrated cherrypicker and would get destroyed by the top guys of his division) will be his toughest match since the Johnny debacle. I don't think he can pull it out, LSC might be another hypejob, but he's a fresher one, with his confidence and chin not cracked yet.

Mares was considered by many as the best of the new young mexican fighters, a lot of fans and even people like JMM said he was ¨the real deal¨, ¨the future of mexican boxing¨, etc and Canelo was the coddled hypejob. How things have changed. Mares turned out to be the fraud.

GRJ gets hate for being a Haymon guy. Which I kinda understand, its easy to assume a Haymon guy is just hype.

But I do think GRJ is actually pretty good, Loma is just ATG level talent and that loss will look better with time.

beating TBA over and over and getting dominated by Lomachenko doesn't prove you're great

If Gary Rusell is actually a great fighter he still has to do more to prove it, because his greatest win to this day is urr.. Gonzalez

Hey man, I was the guy who started the Anti-Mares Express, knowing he was overrated, so you're barking up the wrong tree.

Yes, you're right they don't hold their loses against even their current fighters like they do in boxing.

The current UFC welterweight champion is 26-10-0, 1 NC and he's there on merit and regarded as the best in the division at the moment. Nobody thinks he's anything other than a beast. He's 7-1 in his last 8 but from June 2009 to July 2012 he went 3-5.

The current UFC HW champion is 20-5-1, the lightweight one is 24-7 and even the UFC's new star attraction Conor McGregor has 2 loses on his ledger and he was just a prospect up until his last fight a month ago.
