    Well if its not..
    Garcia
    Khan
    Porter
    Pacquiao

Then the only fighter really left is Maidana, by the sounds of it.

Thurman's opponent hasn't been announced yet. I think he's going to lose his September 13th date, probably. Remember, he was going to fight Khan until Maidana had a big victory. Now he was going to rematch Maidana and Cotto just had a big victory. I wouldn't mind that rematch since Cotto's improved. Although I think it'd be complete BS and disrespectful to the middleweights if Mayweather and Cotto fight for the MW belt. Cotto should vacate or defend against a MW opponent.

I agree, complete BS. And moreso because Floyd CATCHweather didn't fight Drainelo at the full 154lbs limit but will fight more likely at another catchweight for the MW crown.

Cotto fought for MW crown at a catchweight.
Pacquiao fought for the WW and JMW crown at a catchweight.
Mayweather earned his belts at the full limit.

a catchweight of 159 against a small middle doesn't really affect the bout at all.

What about bringing a welter who's moving up to 154 down to 145, or bringing a 154 guy down to 147. Catchweights are dumb period.

The problem I have with Mayweather and Cotto fighting for the middleweight title is that it'll be below 160, Cotto will weight 155 ish, mayweather will weigh 151 ish. So it's a welterweight and a super welterweight fighting for the middleweight belt. Meanwhile, you have real middleweights not getting title shots.

I agree. But Mayweather fought Canelo at catchweight so he did it too.

I can't discuss boxing with guys who don't use their real names. Sorry, your emotions have clouded your judgement.

So do you call Cotto and Pacquiao nicknames with CATCH in it? Nope. You only single out Mayweather apparently. You have a problem with Mayweather fighting a JMW for a MW belt at a catchweight, but not a JMW picking out the oldest, injury prone, surgically repaired MW at a catchweight. Personally, I have a problem with all of it. I wish others could be more objective at times.

But I didn't do that :huh I wasn't calling mayweather any names

I think that the catchweights imposed by Pac were pretty shameful but I think that people dismiss how bad that 152 catchweight was for canelo.

No worse than Pac who cheated Torrecampo on the scales and with cheater's gloves. He got KTFO anyway. Shameful.

My bad, I was referring to the other guy. I don't think Canelo was drained but he was definitely weakened.

Don't even know why this rumour is believed lol.. not sure how much ppv is in america? aroun $70? 70x1mill.. 70,000,000.. they spent lets say 40m on guarantees... + floyd takes a slice of the ppv... so how can they not of made a profit... think of all the other money the'l be bringing in... ticket sales, sponsors...

They're not going to make an investment in floyd to set the bar so high (the apparent 1.5m buys to break even) to not make a profit. This is business......
