Two More Cubans(World Junior Champions) defect to Ireland

    So while Ohner is taking all the Olympic and World Champion Cubans with big publicity behind it, Gary Hyde a small time Irish promoter has taken 3 World Junior Champions with almost no media coverage outside of Ireland(and it's even minimal over here) .

    Mike Perez looks very talented and it's good to hear he's gonna be matched much tougher in the near future .

    Exciting times for Irish boxing .

    The truly great cuban fighters have never turned pro, Stevenson, Savon, Kindelan, Romero, and Rigondeaux... the truly great ones never get to leave.

    i've seen Mike Perez a few times around Cork seems like a sound fella, hopefully Hyde can hold on to all of them and they don't go with the Canadian promoter who's after them.

    even without the cubans, our amateurs are the best in europe.. happy days!
    i would make the trip to cork to see the cuban boys definately!
