    Does Golovkin has solid whiskers?
Can Golovkin fight at a high pace for a full fight?
Can Golovkin beat outboxed by a slickster?

    Too many unanswered questions.

Based on what I've seen so far, Golovkin knocks these two out.

you'd be looking at L-HWs from the past, for 'Proper' size comparisons.

When Joey was going strong (even when he was past going strong for a while) nobody knocked him out

He was stopped on a cut by Webb and when he was 19 & 20, and then in his comeback when he was ancient

He fought Tiger 4 times, Henry Hank twice, the usually overrated but hard punching and good Carter and wasnt stopped.

Theres a big difference between Golovkin being able to stop guys like Geale Stevens Lemieux Murray etc and stopping Giardello

Zale came back from being knocked down by the equally murderous punching Hostak and beat him 3 times. Zale was a good all round fighter with power, but his body punching is what stands out most.
Itd be an interesting fight, tough for both guys

I am a big fan of Golovkin but stopping Joey Giardello would be very tough to do. First of all Joey was very clever and hard to hit clean and second, when you did catch him, he could take it. I could see GGG winning the fight but I think Joey takes him the distance. I have to add, I was a big fan of Giardello as well. Joey was as tough as they come. He fought them all in an era when the middleweight division was stacked with outstanding fighters. He fought Fullmer, **** Tiger, Carter, Mims, Troy, Benton, Giambra Robinson and many many more.

Correction T : You post No one knocks out Joey Giardello...
Well I was at ringside at Eastern Pkwy Arena in 1950 when my neighbor Harold Green flattened Joey Giardello in the 6th round. Giardello at this time had 32 bouts under him the same amount that GGG has today...Much as I liked Harold Green, he doesn't survive the power of a GGG...

No, I posted "When Joey was going strong nobody knocked him out (going strong = his best years, prime etc)

I said he was stopped at 19 and 20 yrs old (which was by Mace (cut) and Green, and in his comeback when he was ancient) But the point was he was still a young fighter in those early losses, and a very old fighter in the last one

When he was at his best bar cuts nobody stopped Giardello was my point, along with pointing out the greats and hard punchers he fought who couldnt get it done
Like I posted before its hard for me to favor GGG pulling the trick based off who hes knocked out so far along with looking at those who failed to get it done vs Joey

I love the fighters of 1940 and 1950s no doubt and Giardello was a terrific "well rounded" middleweight at his best, who fought the cream of the crop in his day...But I have a terrific hunch that in GGG today
we have the makings of a great middleweight who can ko his opponent in the body and chin and proved Golovkin has a GREAT accurate and punishing jab "if" he requires it...He has as we know never been floored in about 330 amateur and pro bouts proving he has a terrific chin too. So I believe in GGG today he fits in nicely with
most any group of middleweights of modern times....If GGG was a racehorse he would be Secretariat without any losses...GGG is the real deal...

    Lloyd Marshall among others.

his skill, ring craft and punch should keep triple G polite, though 'IF' Lloyd gets tagged he may take a knee or worse... But Hey So true for 'most' any fighters when facing a hitter!
