    1.

Do you think Mayweather is stalling a bit to increase the build-up to this fight, just like he waited a year before making the De La Hoya (arguably Hatton as well) fight to increase anticipation?

Because i think he is. He'll let everyone talk on how he ducks Cotto just like they did on Hatton, build it up and then make it, perhaps late 2008 / early 2009. Cotto looks very strong right now and i don't see him losing in the meanwhile, although Margarito is very tough stylistic matchup.

I honestly think Cotto-Mayweather is the most exciting fight to make at this point: both undefeated and well-deserved on top, interesting clash of styles, etc. Is there any other potential fight at this point that you'd consider more interesting? For instance, Calzaghe vs Pavlik, Klitschko vs Peter II / Haye, Abraham vs Pavlik, tons of others possible.

If Cotto beats Margarito? Stalling isnt an OPTION he can consider and CALL HIMSELF the Champion.

Big Money and Legendary nights are generated when the CLEAR big fights happen.

Floyd's full of **** he fights Hatton over Cotto:good

When Cotto beats Margarito, Mayweather will have to take the fight.

At this point, Mayweather doesn't want any tough fights. Why should he, when he gets the megabucks for the fights with Hatton and DeLaHoya? Every time you buy a PPV for Floyd against DeLaHoya, you give "Floyd the Avoider" another reason not to fight Cotto. I guess there are always going to be those who would pay to see Floyd wash his laundry, but real boxing fans want to see him match his skills against the best in the world.
