I'll take a wild guess and say Maxie Rosenbloom and Jimmy McLarnin in The Crowd Roars in 1938.

Lou Ambers and Jack Roper also played in the picture.

Was it the Pittsburgh Kid, with Billy Conn, Henry Armstrong and Freddie Steele.

The answer is obviously Roy Jones Jr. and the magnificent Bryant Brannon in The Devil's Advocate.

hh,you win again...I saw that film when I was a youngster in 1941...It was made soon after Conn's great effort against the Brown Bomber...I remember when Henry Armstrong steps into the ring to spar with the much bigger Conn...They sparred a round, these two immortals...Billy Conn was better looking than the actors in the film...I tried to rent or buy a DVD, but was not successful....Too bad...

I had in mind Conn and Armstrong as "immortals"..Years ago I saw "the prizefighter and the lady",movie with Max Baer, and Carnera boxing...Check youtube to see Max Baer dancing and singing...What a great personality Max Baer had...

Primo did enter the World Boxing HOF in 1990, so this could be a bonus answer I suppose, but Burt has already made clear the response he wanted.
