Two Simple Factors Why Judges Gave Pac the Nod

Wasn't Pacquaio more marked up than Joshua Clottey? You cant really say who landed the better punches based on how they look after the fight, I mean people mark up easier than others.

And here we go, back to square one: quality not quantity.

You're meant to watch fights not read numbers. Those numbers give no indication of what was considered a good eye-catching punch, how much damage was caused nor does it say who controlled the fight.

Tell me, from the numbers what punches snapped the opponents head back? What punches landed in combination? Which punches were landed off balance? Are these all flush shots or were these deflected shots? What punches caused the opponent to stop in their tracks and which ones were walked through?

This is professional boxing where you judge the good punches not amateur boxing where you score a punch regardless how much damage it causes.

 

I don't remember, I watched it two hours away at my brothers house.

It's on his DVR so I haven't done it officially yet, but I was struggling to give pac rounds.

My older brother had it 7-5 for Marquez and he was calling rounds for pac I disagreed with.

 

I don't need to see the replay.

If I do it'll be on mute and i'll probably give more of the fight to Marquez.


Marquez is 4 less knockdowns away from being 3-0 vs pacquiao, imo.

look, im a pac fan and was sure he would dominate this fight, but i was dumbfounded to see how maquez had answers to all the pac attacks. body language speeks louder than words and pac and his staffs where all saying the same thing.....holly **** this is not good!

 

Again you're not introducting anything new; if Pac landed the harder shots, it certainly did not show on JMM. It doesn't matter what has happend in other fights - in fact it doesn't matter what has happend in the previous two Pac-JMM fights. You score the fight as it unfolds on fight night. You're building an assumption into your scoring instead of scoring a fight based on what is happening on the night. JMM continually snapped Pac's head back and stopped him in his tracks yet even though there was no visual evidence that Pac was hurting JMM in there you want me to assume otherwise?

If you're so confident Pacquiao easily won the third fight, why would you want a fourth fight. Logically, the records say a draw and two wins for Pacquiao. This was meant to be the fight which finally determines who was the best of the two and the judges couldn't even get the score right in the third fight so what makes you think the fourth one would be any better?

This trilogy is done. Bad decisions are a part of boxing and this will just go down as another bad decision in the history books of boxing.
