two-time world champion Challenger Luis King Kong Ortiz offers to help Anthony Joshua (SURPRISINGLY) for his mandatory Clash against Oleksandr Usyk.
Should AJ spar with Oritz in preparation for fighting fellow southpaw Usyk?

There is nobody that can help AJ to prepare for Usyk, why ? Because there is no other boxer that moves like him, not in HW, not in CW and not even in LHW.

Should he spar with a world-class southpaw to prepare for a southpaw title challenger? Yes.

Is he worried because Ortiz hits harder than Usyk? Is he afraid Ortiz might learn something about how to beat him (Joshua)?

The question should be why didn't Joshua's team ask Ortiz if he wanted to spar? Is the UK filled with an abundance of excellent southpaw heavyweights to spar with?

I remember when Lennox Lewis called Jameel McCline and asked if he would spar with him to prepare for Vitali Klitschko, since that fight was signed on short notice and Lewis had a hard time finding tall sparring partners. And McCline said no, because he might "fight Lewis for the title" someday. (Silly McCline). LOL

    Doesn't hurt to ask, though.

Oh please. Usyk lost five rounds on two cards against the unranked Dereck Chisora.

I believe Joshua has faced one southpaw in his whole pro career. Sparring a world-class southpaw would no doubt help.

If he turns down Ortiz, don't want to hear Joshua complaining about how hard it was fighting a southpaw.

Usyk won more rounds v Chisora than Parker did, Chisora lanfed far more punches on Parker than AJ did.

Grandpa Ortiz would beat the bodybuilder like a insolent grandchild. Joshua don't want none of that smoke, with this ferocious pensioner, might make him look bad! lol

The point is Usyk isn't some phenom no one can prepare for. A guy who wasn't even ranked won five of 12 rounds off him.

Bring in and spar with southpaws to prepare for southpaws, especially if you have little experience fighting southpaws. Chisora has fought five or six southpaws. Joshua ... one.

While Ortiz is a good southpaw, I don't think he can mimic Uysk's movement which will be the real issue Joshua has with Usyk not his southpaw stance.

What the hell could Ortiz offer that would prepare Joshua for Usyk? Joshua's better off fighting boxers like Szpilka or Scuba Scott than this lumbering old one two specialist.

Usyk is far more skilled than anybody AJ has fought and AJ remarked on how strong Chisora was when he sparred with him and said he struggled to keep him off him.

Ortiz is far better than anybody AJ has sparred with previously and that includes Fury who admitted AJ hurt him badly with an uppercut when they sparred each other.
