Im only going on Marciano had difficulties with a smaller fighter he couldn't knock out and some think won.

Again, I implore you think about the fact, that there is 0 correlation between the size of Marciano's opponents and the length of the fights.

He fought bad big guys. But they didn't last longer than some bad small guys.

Rocky had punishing power. Anyone who can generate power like that is a threat to any boxer at any size. If you see someone like him banging a heavybag at the gym, you will instantly recognize him being more dangerous than the bigger guys.

It's the same reason Louis out punched giants. It's the same reason GGG is simply not having any kind of difficulty with guys his size. It's not because of his fast defense or slick style. It's because of his power and special punching ability. Marciano is imo a better version of Golovkin with an extra 15 pounds on him with no fat.

Elite punchers aren't negatively effected by size mismatches nearly as much as mere mortals.

Golovkin has great footwork, is always balanced has a fine jab ,real boxing ability and has an excellent range of punches,he's a very patient punch picker, an accurate surgeon with a stiletto, compared to him Marciano is a butcher with a cleaver.

He was avoiding me. It wasn't anonymous. And I did go get my tv back.

You talk about me in real life? And my personal stories? lol You're a ****ing weirdo my dude.
Why do you turn everything into a personal insult war? You're toxic. Done nothing for boxing. Just grumpy and sad, holding onto to a worthless ego. This is all you have? A boxing forum persona and status, that you discuss over the dinner table?

    **** outta here. Obsessive freak.

Some did think he won the first fight, Marciano got the nod on the basis of a sole knockdown. One judge had them level at the time of the stoppage in their second fight. Lastarza wouldn't make the top ten today imo.

You actually did it and then boasted about it on the internet? Jesus you have some weird ethical standards! You volunteered the personal information , no one asked you for it.
I ran it past my Lady because I couldn't actually conceive some one would do such a mean spirited thing ,punishing and hurting his girlfriend for his behaviour. Nothing sad about me I've just booked both me and my Lady up for a break in Dubrovnic for her birthday, paid for my Grand kids Xmas party at my club, and am looking forward to a Real Ale Festival with some live Jazz on Friday night.
What will you be doing, phoning up the Wives and girlfriends of people you have a problem with ,speaking some poison down the phone line? You're actually rather sick ,do you know that?

Did you come up with that one, or did someone in real life help you?

I never boasted it. I used it as an example to explain a point.
Telling some poor girl she was being used by a huge sleaze bag is a mean spirited thing? The poor girl was getting dragged to parties, where girls the guy cheated on were there. And every single person at the party knew she was being cheated on except for her.

He screwed me over, so I screwed him over back, and it was net positive because this cool girl finally knew she was being used and embarrassed.

Are you like trying to conjure up any way to vilify me?

Honestly your life sounds lame as ****. Which is why you feel the need to talk about leaving your house as some accomplishment. It makes sense, this is all you have. You are literally willing to cross oceans to kill and die for your ESB online status lol.

Slander? Why are you projecting? lol

You've been trying to slander me since you couldn't come up with a good response in what was a smooth discussion and debate.

Once again you tarnish another thread to oblivion because of your desperate ego.

The discussion isnt how dangerous a puncher marciano is , im a pretty good puncher myself but i know he did not face guys like Holmes and would hsve difficulties landing on him just based on reach .Im not personally over impressed by his power tbh , i think his k.o percentage drops significantly in other eras just watching his fights . I would put money on GGG TBH . Louis was 6'2 ,he didnt have to work as hard as a slower 5'10 Marciano would have against a Baer or Carnera. I see no vid evidence of Marciano super punch in training , i do with others . Like Louis you really have just guys they should be k.oing ,they dont get rewarded for it .
Lastarza wouldn't beat Hopkins let alone a top HW . Idont understand when fans supe these guys up. Its one thing to credit them another to exaggerate them.

A lot of people are criticising Marciano’s opposition here.

My question to them would be who do they think were the best challengers that Holmes beat, and why do they think that these wins were particularly impressive?

They were impressive for Marciano , they wouldn't be for Holmes . The simple solution is switch opponents around. Who do you think has the harder time based on both performances of wins?

I mean prime Holmes would be a very difficult matchup for Marciano, or anyone for that matter.
And even though I favor Rocky, doesn't mean I don't think there is a big chance he could lose too. It's a tough matchup.

    He was a scary puncher

And Rocky was a brute, but in a good way. Somewhere down the line, some people confused his cagey style with him not knowing boxing basics. But in clips like this, you can see that he's not some numb zombie, but rather was a smart puncher, who knew numerous different ways to utilize his size and his punches to close the gap with counters and timing. Not AS smart as many of his elite ATG peers, but better than some make him out to be for sure.
