Indeed, Marciano was an inch taller than Galento.
He scores a KO between rounds 6-10, breaking Galento down after struggling in the first few rounds.

Galento would have slept John Ruiz in a similar fashion

 

I’m not here to knock Galento. He was a colorful guy and had his big moment but your posts are silly. Ruiz defeated far better fighters than Galento ever did. It’s not close. Tucker, Holyfield , Johnson, Rahman, Oquendo, Golata, McCline … even marinated versions of these guys were still far better than any opponent Tony beat. Not only couldn’t Tony handle the shell of Max Baer but took a beating from Buddy too … Galento was a fun character , a real street brawler w a big hook but let’s keep perspective.

 

I would have loved to see it. As a matter of fact, I would love to see Galento fight anybody in the flesh.

 

The recent thread pitting Bob Pastor against Lennox Lewis is his silliest yet. Pastor was a fine boxer, but Lewis was at least his equal in that regard, punched three times as hard, and was 60 pounds or so heavier.
