It is undeniable he is a muppet of epic proportions, with more money than sense. It is undeniable he is going to get battered by Hatton, and his **** sucking entourage and fanboys will be crying into their Mayweather mugs.
SSM beat DLH TWICE and for THE WW Championship in their primes. STFU! A win over SSM means MORE than a win over DLH, this is not negotiable:nono Judah wasnt Champ when floyd fought him either, so whats that got to do with ANYTHING? Quintana? Sorry ***** time, he was a TITLELIST just like PBF was at 140:yep So that means if you call Floyd a Champ at 40, then you call Quintana a Champ at 47 STFU:hi:
Won't make much difference. The critics will say that Cotto was overrated after he gets a boxing lesson from Mayweather. It's what they are going to say when he beats Hatton.
~ WBC Latino welterweight title ~ ~ WBO Latino welterweight title ~ Ok...Ok Floyd was THE MORE LEGIT Titlelist I stand corrected to the ALPHABET DEGREE:rofl He lost his bid for the real WBA Belt vs Miguel Cotto. Which was agonizing to me personally as I had misjudhed Cotto to that point. I picked Quintana who is very slick and Cotto showed that he has 100% game. He took out the body and didnt need the head. MIGUEL COTTO IS A REAL CHAMPION/Titllist(Apply PBF 40 Rule)!! One whose resume at 47 is better than Floyds and SSM is a better win than DLH:hey Saying he has NO IMPACT on the legacy/career of Floyd Mayweather is ridiculous to the point of lunacy.
was mosley a champion when cotto beat him:roll: and for your info floyd beat getti for the wbc 140 title cotto won his wba title in and eliminator. cotto won his wbo title at 140 in an eliminator. when cotto beats a champion then he can step up and call out floyd:deal
Who gives a ****! Wins=PROOF You're blind or know absolutely **** about boxing if you dont see Miguel Cotto and Paul Williams as Champions who pose serious threat to the Ring Champion at 47. When Floyd beats em all? He can sit back, count $$$$, and not worry about what they say, he can ride what he ACCOMPLISHED. If he doesnt? Then he'll be what he's always been, a great talent who was very successful, but one who never sought out the top opponents and cared more about titles than respect.
Actually, their situations were very different. Floyd beat Gatti, who was the 140 lb. WBC champion at the time(a paper champ, but no less a champ). Cotto paid Urkal step aside money so that he could fight Quintana for the WBA WW title that was vacated by Hatton. By winning the vacant title, Cotto now becomes a paper champ ala Gatti. None the less, if Floyd wins, a Mayweahter/Cotto fight is the biggest fight that can be made in the division. Floyd would have a chance to beat a prime, undefeated WW, and Cotto would have the opportunity to become a legitimate champ.
And? Cotto defended the belt against Urkal, Judah, and SSM after beating Quintana. Quintana/Judah/SSM is better than Judah/Baldomir/DLH:yep Urkal and Mitchell cancel each other out At least YOU understand that Cotto has IMPACT. Some have NO CLUE:nono
And, if you win a title without actually beating a titleholder, you're a paper champ. That doesn't mean he's not a good fighter, but the fact of the matter is, he's never actually beaten a champion in the ring. Fighting Floyd not only allows him the opportunity to beat a champion, it gives him the opportunity to beat the best fighter over the last 10 years. If Floyd wins, he'll either retire or fight Cotto. He's all about giving the fans what they want. People wanted t see him fight DLH and it happened. People wanted to see him fight Hatton, and now it's happening. I'm sure the fans will be clamoring for a Mayweather/Cotto fight. If he doesn't retire, Mayweather will do his best to make this fight happen.
yep wont argue that he is amazing but if he defeats Hatton and stays in the game he needs to fight cotto to seen as coming close to ATG status
Listen REg he defended vs JUDAH and SSM that means he's more than PAPER Champ. No he isnt THE Champ but please Cotto is in every way heads above Gatti. Gatti wasnt **** when he fought Floyd or after:nono There is no comparison and Miguel Cotto solidified his belt with Judah and SSM who was INTERIM 47 Champ while Floyd was fighting DLH. I'm glad you feel confident about him making the fight. I'm not so confident, I've seen him duck fights and avoid comp. Cotto would be his best yet.
