Jesus christ, are you in my head or something?

JUST looking at this guy on Boxrec for the second time.

Wonder if he's anything substantial. We know now Michael Grant wasn't... Size can't make a fighter.

Who knows if he'll ever be anything more than a novelty.

Well, I checked out his rating, and it seems that he's right around being a top 30 guy. I guess his only defeat came about 6 years ago to a guy named Jeff Ford. Since that time, he's won 22 straight fights. Most of his opponents look like nobodies, although I thought I saw Bruce Seldon's name on there. Looks like he just fought a few days ago, and beat a journeyman named Jenkins.

He's nothing special. He's somewhat athletic and well conditioned, but lacks skill, speed and power. Top 30 sounds about right.

He has an amazing workrate for a heavyweight but that is about it. He is slow and open to counters all day long. When he fights someone good I think it will be over within three rounds

If the record's accurate, it seems strange that he would exchange a first round knockout loss with a first round knockout win that quickly. Wonder what the story is behind that.

Maybe he just got his **** together.

Sounds like it was a lucky break for the guy that knocked him out the first time around.

kinda funny that this guy is in the classical section..........cause he seems like a great white hope from the willard, mccarty, morris and so on era.

He makes Willard look like Tommy Loughran, in the boxing skills department.

This guy is one of the worst fighters I think I've ever seen on a TV main event. He throws nothing but arm punches, he leaves himself wide open for counters, and he is slow, slow, slow. As soon as he fights a live body, he will be laid out cold. Valuev looks like Willie Pep by comparison, and would knock Fields out, probably early, too.

He is one of the worst fighters I've ever seen in my life. I was watching him fight Kendrick Releford, and if Releford had a little more stamina, he would have won easy. He was winning the early rounds by tricky "Jimmy Young-like" defense, but Fields just kept leaning on him and wore him down and Releford ran out of gas and lost the decision. All the notorious Lummox's of boxing history would take him to school. Valeuv would, Carnera would, Willard would, Vitali would, Buddy Baer would, Abe Simon would, even Firpo would as well. And forget about the skilled big men like Lewis, Wlad, Bowe, and even Tyrell Biggs. They would destroy him utterly.:good
