Couldn't finish off Adamek? Adamek has the best chin in boxing today....sif Adamek was really in trouble. Grant took Adamek to deep waters, it was a learning experience for him.

I'm not going to call Fields a top 10 fighter (he's not even close, even before the Grant fight), and yes he has a chin problem, but IMO he is not a total stiff. He does have wins over guys like Seldon and Koval, fighers that a total bum would surely lose to. Really it's his southpaw stance and huge size that allowed him some measure of success as a pro.

That punch would've KO'd Wlad, no question.

    Good Call:

IBF #10 and WBA #8 heavyweight Kali Meehan, 6’5, has issued a challenge to Michael Grant, 6’7, who scored an impressive three round KO over Ty Fields. Australian based Meehan is in the USA training but has requested his manager to make a Grant vs. Meehan fight. “Michael Grant and myself are both veterans with plenty left in the tank,” Meehan continued. “I think it would be an all action bout between two big heavyweights who can punch. I had a good win over Evans Quinn in my most recent bout and I want to keep active. I am rated in both IBF and WBA but Michael is not rated so it should be a good fight for him if he is confident."

Wlad would never have been hit by that punch. It was completely telegraphed and Fields saw it coming. He tried to back up (cardinal mistake) He just couldn't get out of the way.
Why couldn't he get out of the way? Because he's terrible.
I remember when that guy was at least in good shape. Now he's kind of sagging everywhere that used to be muscle. He's worse than before, and this fight means nothing for Grant in the long run.

VERY pleased for Grant. He needed this. To be fair his career is as good as done and he's running on fumes. But if he'd never bothered with that idiot Atlas and had some better match makers his career could certainly have panned out alot better.

What? Is this a joke? NO ONE EVER thought Tye Fields was the second coming of anything. The guy was a club fighter who only made noise because of his size. Every time he's fought guys who were quality journeymen his been wiped out. The reality is the dude was a can. Is he even trained by Steward anymore? Im sure he ditched him a while ago when he realised Tye wasn't going anywhere.
