Tye Fields - Under Appreciated

I hate to disrespect any fighter and won't do the same with Fields. Though even Arum his self said that if Fields doesn't succeed in the Barrett fight then he's pretty much done, so expect some fans to say worse, especially the ones that were expecting too much of him.

In the end you make a good point BUT the Tyson part I didn't really think you were correct. Tyson might have made some major mistakes in the ring and gave boxing a bad name sometimes but at the same time what he brought to the sport and the attraction he brought will never be forgotten, even to this day people rush off to watch some of his fights before when it's on TV and his DVDs being sold. He might have made some mistakes which involved his real life but he didn't really affect the sport as much as he benifited it.

 

I'm sure he's been training & getting into the ring in the hopes of earning good money rather than for the enjoyment of the fans, & even if at all was for the fans, I don't give a **** because I don't watch his fights.

but if I do happen to catch a news clip of him getting KTFO by Barrett, I'll be damned if I'm not gonna burst out laughing.

 

At a certain level, Tye has been very successful indeed.

How about Fields vs Kevin McBride? Two big and skillless fighters. Would be interesting if not fun to watch.

 

I get my motivation from Tye. When i am in a hard situation where i don't know what option to choose. I just think to myself ''what would Tye Fields do in this situation''? His brilliance is highly underrated in every forum.

Don't think it will be fun to watch AT ALL, both are INSANELY slow and they seem to run out of gas after throwing only a few shots. This will be a hug fest and a very boring one, but still a very good fight for both to "redeem"(I know all are laughing) themselves.

It may not be Fields doing the hyping but Arum sure did.

Then on top of it he shoved him down our throats and wasted a number of Vs main events on this.

It might not be Fields fault but it expected to be some major backlash when an inferior product gets pushed on us.

Arum has a big stable of fighters and Vs pays decent money for their cards.

And Arum gave us a sideshow attraction instead of quality fights.

Arum is the one to blame for most of this not Fields.

I doubt anyone actually dislikes Fields afterall he seems like a geniunely gentle giant.

I don't think there are too many people wanting to see him consistently land in main event fight slots.

Keep him on Espn level fights, ppv openers, or even the undercard on Vs and not many would complain.

When you keep having Tye Fields as a headliner when you know he doesn't belong there then people will complain.
