The question is, what will this do to his confidence? He really changed over the fight, it might affect his career negatively. They should give him a couple "easy" fights so he can feel like a winner again.

 

Tyner lost every round but the 2nd. The undefeated prospects are dropping like flys this year.

 

I don't think he was hurt. I think he just fell apart mentally. Kind of like Andy Lee did, but Lee got hurt after his head hit the shithouse. Tyner did not.

 

Not that I've seen the fight yet, but if he was convincingly beaten by Mighty Mike, he'd get killed by Ngoudjo, who's 2 or 3 classes above Aranoutis and much less conventional.

Tyner has quite a few physical skills, he needs a real trainer, and needs to learn a few more basics.

Mike Arnioutis is a tough guy to beat, ask Ricardo Torres who didn't really beat him. He's going to be a tough fight for anyone.

Tyner's guys most of thought they were getting the Holt version of Mike, not the Torres version. They guessed way wrong.

Tyner is a tough guy who always makes for good fights. That's why I like watching him fight live. A few months ago, there was a lot of talk about a Paris vs Tyner fight in Detroit which would have been great for the local boxing scene. I'd have picked Tyner to rough Paris up.

I didn't expect him to win this one though, but he'll be back.

 

Too bad the guy's 32 already. Tyner has some natural talent, just no sense of pacing and god awful footwork. Loved his heart in there though.

 

I scored the first three for Tyner, everything from the 4th on to Mike. It started out real good for Tyner and then went south quick.

 

I like him too. I was rooting for him last night big time. He has a pretty quick right hand and can throw combinations pretty well. I cant believe this guy started to fight at 29 which is prolly why I am more of a fan than anything else. A true underdog haha. He needs to work on his stamina though he seemed to tire out.
