item 3 flows logically from item 2, it's not a contradiction. if people are saying that the fighter is over the hill before the fight, and mayweather beats him handily, then why would they not say the same thing after the fight.
as for item 4, that's yet to be seen.

Exactly, the easiest fighters to exemplify this would be Zab Judah, Carlos Baldomir, and Antonio Margarito. Floyd fought Judah and Baldomir, and people say he should have fought Margarito because Judah lost to Baldomir and Baldomir had 9 losses completely disregarding that Baldomir was the lineal champion and Judah was before him. Now if Mayweather had fougth Margarito and Baldomir, and not Judah people would have called the Baldomir loss a fluke and said that Floyd was ducking someone slick like him. If he fought Margarito and Judah and not Baldomir, they would say he was ducking Baldomir because Baldomir beat a slickster like him.

It will never end, they will invent people, build them up, and disguard them once they lose.

Because its the same fighter that before fight fight was signed they were claiming that he was ducking. Mosley is a case in point, as is hatton. Before those fights were signed they were saying that Floyd was scared to fight those guys, but once the fight was signed then hatton became a bum for that night, but was later a great win for hatton, as was Judah for Cotto, and again Oscar for Pac.

Go back and search the thread history dating back before the fight with Shane was signed and you will see that many of the clowns that are now claiming that Shane was old and shot are the very ones saying that floyd is scared to fight him. One of those very posters posted on this thread a few posts back. I could point out several that did it, but then it would take the fun out of you going back and reading those threads.

people downplay his career because there are a lot of holes in it. there are so many great welterweights out there and he chooses to fight only megafights. he is literally in a league of his own.

 

This same thing happens to Pacquiao and numerous other popular fighters.

Fact is, every popular dominating fighter will have haters and nuthuggers who either glorify or downplay the performances of those who dominate in the sport. Haters and nuthuggers tend to be more vocal so they kind of skew the perception at any given time.

The rest of us make up the silent majority who actually respect the fighters and love the sport of boxing giving every boxer their due respect and also calling out any hypocrisy or foul play in an unbiased manner regardless if it's a boxer we love to watch fight or not.

The fact that you make an entire thread on this puts you amongst the nuthuggers crowd. :good

 

Most haters get frustrated when the boxer they hate wins regardless of the opponents. Deal with it.
