Your guy can't get the takedown? No problem, Yuji Shimada will gladly ankle pick the opponent who had the nerve to knock the **** out of your cry baby poster boy. This content is protected ****ing Shameless cheating.
I thought it was a little shady when Aoki was almost TKO'd by Hellboy's up kick - only to have the ref give Aoki a five minute break and then restart the fight. It's been common knowledge that if a foreigner fights a Japanese fighter in Japan - one has to win by KO or submission. The Japanese don't like their fighters to lose.
Either hes cheating or hes just plain ****ing stupid what idiot ref would lift up someones leg during a TD attempt ? I believe its cheating.
That was stupid... the ref could have said stop and let him put his foot inside the ring first. Anyways how did the fight end?
The first kick apparently hit him in the nuts. Hard to tell for sure due to the camera angle, but it did look kinda low.
not really. strikers can use the cage to stand up by leaning against it. they can avoid take downs by standing sideways. the cage is bigger allowing more movement for strikers. the ring has corners so you can cut the ring off on a striker more easily.
restarts are bollocks. sometimes it is boring but no more then a striker continously moving and avoiding any exchanges. they aren't ask to restart on the floor are they.
Yes, they are. When they are in a groundfighting position too near the ropes or tangled in the ropes, the ref has them restart on the ground in the "same position". Obviously, the position will be similar to what it was, but it can't be exactly the same.
The guys leg was through the ring and he tried to put it back in, compared to other examples this is pretty mild.
