thanks Titan..i always been a big fan..he doesnt deserve all the bad press..he had some issues in his life..but who hasnt ? ..he was matched very hard and fought a hell of a list of opponents. he just lacked a bit of natural power and maybe stamina ? whats your views on him ?
Markclitheroe, I was a fan of Tyrell since back to his amateur days( I still feel they robbed him of the second Stevenson fight ). He was very fast, strong hands, could take a pretty decent shot. And like you said, he fought quality opponents early on.But you are spot on about his lack of natural power, and I think the drug issue ruined what good have been a very good career minimum.Under the right circumstances, I could've seen him beating Tyson, Williams, Bruno, and even Bowe. But Duva and his boys sold him down the river, and after losing to Tyson, wasn't the same.
I think Tyrell Biggs best performance was the win against Jeff Sims, where he fought with a broken collar bone. Exceptional display of boxing, and Sims was a tough hard-hitting fighter.
Anyone out there got any of his fight videos that can be uploaded to complete my collection. 1982 world amateur final. Pro career... V....Lorenzo Boyd V....Rodolfo Marin V....Buster Mathis jnr V.....Mike Hunter V.....Percell Davis A thousand thanks in advance.
