what do readers think of Tyrell's career?
He came up short against Tyson,Damiani,Mason,Bowe and Lewis
but these guys were the very best.

sometimes it's better to actually fight the best and lose, instead of keeping a padded record and not fighting the top guys, as quite a few fighters are doing/have done in the past

he was a great amateur though, beating Lennox and Tyson, for whatever reasons he didn't do as well as a pro

i thought he showed huge courage against a prime tyson
in the first round he showed the blueprint for handling tyson
but couldnt sustain it,not sure why but just stopped moving
and jabbing. He seemed to lack power at highest level, but gave it a real go against
Bowe, claimed he suffered flu leading up to the Mason
    fight.

Like Gerry Cooney, he was rushed into a big fight with the champ too early.

A little more seasoning and he might have had a legitimate shot of upsetting Tyson, ala Buster Douglas.

I always wonder how good he could've been with better management. I believe Manny Steward would've been good for his career.

Then again, he could very well have simply imploded with the drug abuse while he was still busy working his way up slower. I think he was a ticking time bomb as it was, and he may as well have got his shot when he did. He was going to flush it down the toilet sooner or later.

still think he faced a peak Tyson with more courage than anyone else did.
