Thats what happens when you have so many early stoppages. A decent number of fights at 21, but only 39 rounds boxed in his entire career. Compare that to his opponent tonight, Carson Jones, with 34 fights and 169 rounds boxed. Huge gulf in experience, and he just didnt have the natural talent to fall back on.
Got knocked down by a counter over his jab that he didn't bring back to block with. Got hurt again with the same punch, then didn't answer back after about 60 of Jones' punches. Hopefully, he learns a lesson and gets better.
Kid has no heart and obviously didn't learn how to defend himself because of all the easy touches he's been exposed to. One good shot and he completely fell apart.
I was unsure of Brunson coming in. I heard some buzz about him, but never watched him live. He looked good for the first two rounds, and then all of sudden his jab got lazy and he was counted a couple of times with the right hand and then he fell to the canvas. Then he was in a shell while Jones threw a good 50 punches in a row without an answer. I nearly fell out of my seat laughing when he asked the ref "Why did you stop?"
Brunson is a bum. Anyone that bought the hype is stupid. Nothing but a circus act. Jones is a decent enough journeyman anyway, and that's all it was going to take to expose this clown.
