Tyrone Brunson knocked out his 20th straight foe in the first round....but big deal...the guy he fought was 3-15...thats like someone breaking Cal Ripken's record by pinch running every game. Its a joke that this guy is more interested in breaking records than fighting decent opposition.

perhaps he is a gatekeeper for anyone who deserves to enter 6 rounds:D

Kids trying to get into the record books. No shame there as his done it now. He can certainly punch no question about that. But once he steps up well know what his balls are made of. His only a prospect so i dont see any problem.

has he actually said he is trying to enter the record books or are you guys just saying that?

Maybe he just likes making small money for easy fights more than big money for hard fights.

Yeah, he said he wanted to break the record first.

" I'm looking to break the record right now and after, my game plan is to step up and fight contenders with 50-50 and 70-30 records, hopefully get a fight on HBO, ESPN and ShoBox. I want to show the world I'm ready.""

It doesn't seem to bother me as much as some here that Brunson has feasted on no-hopers. Obviously he needs to step up now, atleast to guys with winning records. But he's still a prospect and wanted to get in the record books and this will be a good marketing ploy. By the time he does get on t.v there will be some genuine interest in seeing him and the k..o streak will be a big reason why.

Now he has the record though, he does need to pick up the pace.

Exactly.I dont see a problem. At least 1 thing is certain the kid is is very active and can punch. No shame there at all for a prospect.

Agree. It also seems clear he is looking to market himself with the k.o streak. And it seems to be working.

I saw footage of 1 of his fights in New Zealand against Jamie Waru & it was stopped very prematurely in the last 20 secs of the 1st round.
The whole crowd in New Zealand was booing the decision big time.
