Tyrone Clinton Spong vs. Jeyson Alexandre Minda Borja, 10 rounds @ heavyweight

 

Round 1

Spong is jabbing down at the shorter Minda (who is a career super middle), encroaching with baby steps and shrugging off Minda's overhands with a simple rolling outward gyration of his large arms. Spong able to cut the ring off and pound on the apex of Minda's crown with a nudging jab, and then grab him by the nape with the same glove while slapping a right uppercut into his throat. Minda tries getting up on his tiptoes and sweeping a hook into Spong's temple, but there is no effect. Spong backs him up with short uppercuts.

Round 2

Spong is throwing a stiff jab into Minda's face. Spong is dancing in & out as Minda leaps up off his toes charging forth with hooks. Spong is circling against the ropes, drawing Minda in, and then SLAMS him with a pendulum left in the side, dropping Minda to his knees. Minda gets up and tries some weaving side to side on the ropes. Spong peppers him with jabs and Minda slips them for a moment until Spong nails him with an uppercut and Minda collapses under the bottom rope, that'll do 'er.

KO2!!!

 

Spong improved to 14-0 (13) and sealed his date with Usyk next month.
