i know a lot in the aus boxin world that DO respect the aus title, and some that have worked bloody hard to get it & respect it. sure ,it may only be a stepping stone for a few of our best, but most of our world champs were aussie champs first, and some that jumped it ended on there arse

I respect the Aussie title, as I still do the Commonwealth title. Any title that you have to explain to the layman, I reckon, isn't as prestigious. It's also often easier to win a regional title than it is to win an Aussie or Commonwealth title, just look at the comment by Adam Forsyth in regards to challenging for Brad Pitt's Aussie title after Forsyth's lackluster performance on the weekend, he plans on winning a regional title first now.

Defiantely. Especially when there is no real ranking system, the fighters father pays the sanctioning fees, and the father and son can dictate which Indo, Thai or Filo they fight.

These regional titles are not worth a State Title of 20 years ago.

Forsyth can go and chase his sanctioning fee title also, especially if unwilling to face Pitt. He'll then be convinced by Jeffrey that he's ready for a world title shot after a defence or two, then head off to the USA as organised fodder for one of Jeffreys mates over there.

    What did he say?

IMO Adam would be sick of getting KO'ed by Brad in the AM's I doubt he would fight Pitt now....IMO Pitts got better while Adam has stayed the same good level...it's a fight we all want to see but don't think so.
