So you claim the reason Tyson was battered senseless in 90 by a B class fighter was because he had too much Sushi and Geisha girls? Maybe his sushi was spiked? :rofl

Buster trained hard and Tyson didn't. Buster deserved to win that fight, plain and simple. He showed heart (Getting off the canvas from a vicious punch), Skill, and determination. That wasn't the same Tyson that was invincible to the naked eye, but in life everyone needs a wake-up call.

Barring that one shot, Mike was battered senseless. He was awful against Bruno a year earlier so I'd suggest it was the same Mike and not some impostor. Anyway, current Wlad would send that sushi soaked Osaka Tyson to the morgue. On that we're agreed. :good

Tyson peaked around '87 - '88. Following the Spinks match he fired Rooney and was inactive for about 8 months. He already was looking past his best against Bruno in '89, showing little of the previous head movement and lack of combination punching, also showing a loss of muscle definition from previously. His following bout against Carl Williams was too short to give anything as to his state and then he lost to Douglas. Following Douglas he again showed the lack of head movement in his bout with Ruddock (the Tillman "fight" was a farce) and then was incarcerated.
He certainly wasn't at his peak at that point.

Current Wlad would easily be one of Tyson's best wins. And some here seriously suggest that Mike, who was 10-14 years past his prime, inactive, out of shape, in for the money (and god knows what else was going in his life and mind) would be favorite to win?

Blueprint for beating '02 Tyson is much easier to execute than the out of date 03-04 scheme of Wlad.

Sam Peter 2 is good fight to check out how Wlad handles his demons now days. He looked pretty comfortable fighting a guy who dropped him three times in their earlier fight and Tyson's invincibility aura in 2002 was only fraction of what it used to be.

What comes to Mike from 80'es to mid 90'es is a different story. I personally don't see anyone being a favorite to beat Tyson from Holmes and Spinks (maybe even Berbick) fights.

Prime Tyson stops young Klitschko. 2002 Tyson gets stopped by young Klitschko.
