Tyson 80's opponents vs. 2002 Tyson that fought Lewis?

Lots of fighters on the list would beat that Tyson, Holmes especially.

 

Tucker and Holmes both beat him for sure, Tyson was terrible in 02, he looked good against Golotaand than looked like **** against Nielson, I've never seena fighter go that far down hill from 1 fight to another.

 

I think all of them except Green and Ribilita would have beaten 2002 Tyson.

 

I am shocked by the results. I think allot of those guys would outpoint 2002 Tyson.

 

I agree about Tyson post jail. He just wasnt the same. I think its unfair to say Lewis wouldn't have had a chance against a prime Tyson but that said, my money would have been on Tyson.

 

who else was surprised it took 8 rounds for Lewis to end it? He had a punch bag in front of him post round 1..

 

Other than Ribilta and Maybe Green, I don't see 02 Tyson beating any of those guys

 

People are seriously underating 80ths heavyweights.

2002 version of Tyson could win some of those because of his puching power, but would lose the majority of those matches

Lewis injured his right hand, he was buying some rounds to let the pain subside so he could look for the finishing shots later.

Let's be honest. Tyson was beyond shot back then. Most of these fighters would have outboxed 2002 Mike without a doubt.

The last time when Mike Tyson looked relatively good in the ring was his fight against scared Golota. And it was just 2-rds fight. Then was just another 1-year lay-off and fight vs Brian Nielsen, shot, fat danish euro-level heavyweight. I remember that fight - Tyson looked awful after the 2nd round. He was overweight, tired quickly, and it was obvious to everyone he has no chance to beat Lennox. In fact, I was sure that Lewis will KO Tyson inside 3 rds. Just 2 years after he was KO'd by jorneyman Danny Williams in 4 rds. Shortly after that he lost by TKO to Kevin McBride, below top-100 fighter, whose biggest win besides Tyson is Franklin Egobe in a prizefighter quarterfinal.

I'm sure that most of these fighters would have outpointed or even stopped Mike Tyson of 2002.
