Why did Teddy need gun for Donny LaLonde? By the way, at firs tit was not gun, according to Teddy's first version, told to columnist Jack Newfield years before bio, it was teddy in a hooded sweatshirt stalking neighborhood in search of LaLonde. Years later book comes out and it's Teddy up the stairs with a gun. Let's wait a few more years, it will be
Teddy and Mr. Plum in the parlor with a candlestick....

Why did Teddy attack amateur Robbie Williams from behind in sneak attack on stair of old Gleason's gym? Williams told him off. RIGHT TO TEDDY'S FACE. Called him names, told him off right up and down.
Atlas stood there, did nothing, looked embarrassed, then ran up behind on him while he was on staircase in sneak attack. This was 3 years after he pulled gun on Tyson. Couple of years before whatever he pulled on LaLonde. But he's tough, and no one is brave enough to get in his face????

Yes, that was a former featherweight he trained as amateur, Ricky Salazar. He became reporter for Latin station. Salazr got screwed over by Teddy. Atlas once sent him to weigh in for Golden gloves on wrong day, Salazar had to change class, then get out. He took it well. He got to finals of another amateur tournament in New York City, Spanish Gloves, later changed to ABF's. He made finals, Atlas could not show up to work corner, Salazar showed up with fever from burns he had sustained. Guys looking out for him said they wanted to pull him out, but he insisted, said he could not let Teddy down. He lost by decision, took beating, and was only worried what Teddy would think. It was not god, Atlas said he was coward to people. They split short time later.

Salazar had jaw broken in two places in pro fight, still made a comeback. I think he was always trying to prove Teddy was wrong, till he got older and smartened up. He went after Atlas at that one, after hearing Teddy had been telling everyone **** about him.

There is not a person in the world who's been in many fights and hasn't lost a fight or two.

People ask why Teddy brought a weapon when he confronted Mike Tyson and when he planned on attacking Donny LaLonde. Well, why would he need to bring a weapon? Because nobody other than another polished professional level fighter would be able to even come close to beating Mike Tyson or Donny LaLonde in a street fight. For whatever reason people ignore the fact that Teddy was not dealing with your average Joe, he was dealing with champion fighters who would put a normal person in the hospital with 1 punch if they wanted to.

Teddy never claims to be the toughest guy in the world, he claims to be a guy who will stick up for what he believes is right, and from what I've seen he's always done just that.

No, I have never met him and obviously do not know him. While I generally criticize those who go around and base a lot on how someone really is based on they come across in interviews instead of meeting the person, so far I have been a pretty accurate judge of what a person is like without meeting them and then when I do get to meet them I can see if I was right or wrong.

I am a fan of him because he has consistently stuck by what he has said and will stand his ground on his points, whether they are controversial or not. He also does a lot of charity work and helps a lot of people. No matter how big of an ******* people may say he is, they can't take away the amount of charity work he has done.

I maintain my opinion that nobody here would dare to talk TO Teddy the way they talk ABOUT him.

Have you ever met him? I have, he stand about 5'7" at most and right now hes fat, with a beer gut. When he was younger he was scrawny as hell. Dont go preaching to me that he isnt that small or fat when Ive stood right in front of him before.

Teddy's a good commentator he should stick to that, but only on ESPN. Theres a reason HBO or SHowtime didnt pick him up. He starts too much trouble.

If you think Im scared of Teddy ****ing Atlas you are wrong. Would I say anything that might **** off someone like Tyson? No. But Teddy Atlas? Please. At the very VERY worst I might get sucker punched by a smaller older guy. Whats he going to do? Pull a gun on me? Beat me up? Seriously hurt me? Not likely. Smart off to somene like Tyson, who has a known history of handling business brutally in and out of the ring and can punch like a mule kick and yes you are probably in trouble. Smart off to a guy like Teddy Atlas who is known for sucker punching people and (according to him) pulling guns on people and youve got at least a 50/50 shot of taking care of busines. AT LEAST.

No, I have not met him, but it is obvious from various pictures that he's taller than 5'7. I'm 5'8 and have met and stood less than a foot away from Carlos Ortiz and I didn't have near the same height difference that Teddy has over him.

and here he is with the 5'9 Shane Mosley:

Eitherway arguing about his height or physical size is not the least bit interesting.

Like I said, Ive met him. Instead you choose to a show a couple of pictures. Pictures are often deceptive of height etc. Take Ortiz and LaMotta next to each other. LaMotta in his prime (and hes older than Ortiz) was 5' 8", Ortiz was 5' 7" and yet somehow the older LaMotta (as we age we lose height) appears to be standing at least a couple of inches taller than Ortiz (who looks incredibly short in the photo). Yet you also have Arthur Mercante who stood about my height (5'9 or 5'10) and even he looks smaller than LaMotta. And as I said, at 5'9"/10" I stand a couple inches taller than Atlas and thats him in dress shoes (heels) and me in tennis shoes.

Arthur Mercante is not standing straight up and LaMotta's hat is deceptive. But if you say Teddy is 5'7 I'll take your word for it.

Yes he does, or did. I think he walks around slightly shorter because he no longer stands straight up anymore, he's slightly hunched over.

Just out of curiosity though, why are you stating this?
